Hi SHANS ! Haven't seen it on STK yet so i'll comment here.

Main issue of it is your total time: more than 5 minutes is, most of the time, a ranking suicide for an ic. Most edits in less than 3 minutes (max 3:30) in order to be sure to finish, and be able to perfect/change some transitions and scenes. and after 4 minutes, people tend to get bored unless you have a legendary story or rythm which isn't the case (yet ! )

As for the anime mix, actually i think there's something interesting to be made with both: Like... the medieval sceneries of berserk and rivalry kinda looks like Alucard's past (Tepes III wars and all). But the problem is you alternate between them without actual connection or coherence. It would have been epic if you kept Hellsing only for the end (and maybe at beginning in order to make a flashback in berserk) insted of random interventions like i saw, IMO. Like: giving the impression Guts is an Alucard's ancestor (maybe because he got cursed by demons or the family he killed ?) and Griffith a creator of Iscariote Section of Vatican ? Honestly it would have been a bit difficult, but in a 3 min vid, it would have got a lot more coherence and originality.

As for technique, i wasn't a big fan of your double screen masks (like at 3:17) and some zooms felt a bit forced ( i suggest adding radial blur when zooming, to give a more fluid effect and hide a bit of the scalled pixels). In the middle, your paper burn portrait were an interesting risk (like from 2:40 o 2:50, showing who's hidden behind the armor adds something nice), but it remains a bit too long, as the other portrait-less burned papers don't have relevant beat sync and seems "just here for adding something". but i liked the effort and mixes of layers/fx. unperfect, but kinda fun to watch. As for rythm: the chorus are a lot less of impact and intensity than verses (the fight Guts vs the mercenary girl have very long scenes, like when she goes down), i dunno if it was intentionnl, but the contrary would have been more natural.


That sums it up: Interesting association and mix, but big length, strange rythm and pace of scenes, inconsistent masks and lack of coherence lost it a bit for me. Yet, I noticed a good effort on it, and some sequences were kinda nice.

Good luck for the IC, and waiting for your next AMV in a bigger time span.

ProjectBarcodeError ya te dijo la mayoría. Principalmente me hubiese enfocado en hacer algo más corto y mejor hecho.
Muchas cosas quedaron mal y muy revueltas. No uses los efectos encadenados de transición. Son antiestéticos. Ni abuses del mismo método de sincronización todo el rato. Se vuelve repetitivo y aburre.
Ah y antes de mezclar dos animes así de distintos piensa la forma correcta de mezclarlos. Que además por los colores o la animación se sabe cuando es uno u otro.
Aunque me sorprendió que hicieras algo tan largo, por el trabajo que supone.
La próxima más y mejor.
